Sandra Bleser, President, Growing Room, Inc. Guest Speaks
to Student Inventors at Plantation Key School

Sandra Bleser was invited to speak to a gifted class of student inventors grades 2-5 from Plantation Key School. Sandra gave them an assignment to come up with a "self cleaning" peanutbutter jar—so you could get all the peanutbutter out at the bottom of the jar. They also shared inventions with each other: everything from a "sick caddy" for all the stuff you need next to you when you are home sick from school to a soap dispenser that is joined to your shower head or bath tub. They were all great!

Growing Room, Inc. Announces Mary-Wanda Fandino
as Vice President of Marketing

Key Largo, Fla – Jan. 17, 2008 – Growing Room, Inc, a children’s gear company, is pleased to announce Mary-Wanda Fandino will assume responsibilities as V. P. of Marketing.

Ms. Fandino comes to Growing Room, Inc. with 10 years of experience in packaged goods marketing in large FMCG companies such as Nestle, Pepsico, and Coors. She has extensive experience in innovation, having led new product development for children’s beverages at Nestle. Most recently, Ms. Fandino was Associate Marketing Director for Latin America at Novartis Consumer Health.

Ms. Fandino’s primary focus will be the launch of the Room to Grow 4-in-1 inflatable play yard through retailers nationally. Selected as one of the most innovative New Baby Products for 2007 by the JPMA and as a “Mommy Must Have” by the women’s web site Moms on the Move, the Room to Grow 4-in-1 is great for traveling, in hotel rooms, parks, and on the beach, since it fits in a canvas bag and can even be taken on an airplane as a carry-on. The features of portability, quick inflation with the included foot pump, and ease of storage are especially suited to the needs of active moms and grandparents.

In addition to the national launch of the Room to Grow inflatable play yard, Ms. Fandino will be involved in the development of new products. Growing Room, Inc. is dedicated to providing moms and caregivers with quality products that meet un-met needs in the marketplace. “As a new mom, I think I bring a particular insight into the needs of parents who want the best for their children while leading hectic, highly mobile lives.”

Ms. Fandino is a graduate of Swarthmore College. She has a MA from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a MBA from the University of Maryland Smith School of Business.
